Why do we warm-up?
A warm-up bridges our current conditions of the body, voice, and mind and the conditions of the body, voice, and mind we need to act. It's a gradual process of transition that prepares us physically, vocally, and mentally for the demands of a performance.
The actor's body is their instrument!
It is the tool most used to communicate emotions, convey characters, and tell stories. This also includes the voice! Just like a musician cares for their instrument, an actor must care for their body to ensure it's in optimal condition for performance.
